An Epic 2022 Roundup!

An Epic 2022 Roundup!

Twenty Twenty Two

What a year 2022 has been! After catching up with all the covid postponements in 2021 - the busiest wedding season EVER, I decided to limit my bookings for 2022 to slightly less than normal. This meant I could dedicate more time to each of my wonderful couples, have enough down time to reflect & LOVE my job again & have some much needed personal time. After all, 2022 was the year I tied the knot too!

I think this year has been my very favourite year photographing weddings. Everyone was still super grateful to be out partying with their nearest & dearest but without covid holding back any of the fun.

I have also had the most wonderful couples this year & I owe a huge thank-you to each and every one of you for asking me to be a part of your day. I can still remember each and every one of the 300+ weddings I’ve photographed, & whilst names can get a bit blurry as time ticks on, this year has given me some of the most memorable weddings to date!

This is what 2018 looked like!!

2018, WHAT A YEAR!

37 weddings // 8 engagement shoots // 16,951 delivered images

Every year that passes by, I worry how long I’ll love this job for & whether I’ll eventually start to tire from the craziness that wedding season brings.

But each & every year I love it more and more.

I get more of a buzz from traveling up and down the country more times than I can keep track of. I feel more every time I witness two people making the biggest declarations of their lives. I cry more, a lot more.. I try to fight back the happy tears but there’s always something that gets me at each and every wedding.

I shot my 150th wedding this year & I can remember each & every one of them.

I can sit here and think about what I’d do instead of this job but I can’t imagine myself ever giving all of this up.

THIS YEAR HAS BEEN CRAZY GOOD!

Thank-you to each & every one of my beautiful clients, who have made it my best year yet!

Jo & Damien's quirky Manchester Wedding at Hope Mill Theatre

2020-01-15_0075.jpg

After Jo & Damo's pre-wedding shoot in Delamere Forest (see here!) I just knew their wedding was going to be a dream & they definitely didn't disappoint!

It was the perfect example of a Manchester City Centre wedding at it's finest! A swanky Air B&B apartment for bridal prep, a luxury Midland Hotel ceremony & topped of nicely with a reception at the quirky, urban venue, Hope Mill Theatre. The entire wedding party even had the Manchester Bee incorporated into their wedding gear - the bridesmaids wore Lily Rose, Manchester Bee necklaces & the groomsmen, Manchester Bee tie pins. See? Perfect!

Jo & Damo, I hope you're having an amazing time in Mexico! Thanks again for asking me to a part of your amazing day <3

What a year 2017 has been!

35 weddings

7 engagement shoots

and a grand total of 18,172 photographs delivered to my lovely couples <3

2017 was my fourth year in business and my busiest so far too! I always get asked whether I think I'll get bored shooting weddings but it's impossible... it just keeps getting better and better! It might sound cheesy but it really is a huge honour to be invited to share the most important day of someone's life with them.

Thank-you so much to each and every one of this years lovely couples, my year wouldn't have been the same without!

Bring on 2018!!

Mandy & Paul chose to tie the knot in the beautiful & iconic Manchester Town Hall. Both Paul & Mandy grew up in the UK however later moved over to Hong Kong but felt it was only right to have their day in the UK with their friends & family. They wanted to combine both English & Chinese traditions which made for such a special & unique day.. & a lot of outfit changes for Mandy!

Laura & Jonny's Autumnal Wedding at Gorton Monastery in Manchester

A manchester wedding at Gorton Monastery

Laura & Jonny held their beautiful Autumnal wedding at the incredible Gorton Monastery in Manchester. It was the first time I'd had the chance to shoot there and I would absolutely love to get the chance to return.

The Monastery looked so dramatic & grand decked out with fiery oranges and yellows & each table was named after places from Game of Thrones - it was a the perfect setting for a feast fit for the kings!

Laura & Jonny, thank-you so so much for asking me to be a part of your beautiful day <3

I absolutely love shooting weddings that don't follow the usual timeline, it's great witnessing couples tie the knot how they want to do it, not how they think they should & Alison & Chris did just that!

The newly wed's made it official with an intimate ceremony at Altrincham Town Hall followed by vintage tea-party celebrations at a Village Hall in Manchester!

It was an absolute pleasure of a day to photograph :)

Zoe & Ben's stylish Winter Wedding at On The 7th in Manchester

Bride & Groom after their ceremony at On The 7th - Manchester Wedding Photography

Zoe & Ben chose to tie the knot at the lovely On The 7th in Media City, Manchester. On the 7th is the perfect cosy & stylish oasis on a cold December day, perfect for the intimate wedding Zoe & Ben had planned & complete with great views of the city!

Zoe's dress! What can I say, she looked incredible! Ben was grinning from ear to ear as Zoe walked in arm in arm with her Father.

As we headed through Media City later on in the day, for Zoe & Ben's portraits, we stumbled upon (you couldn't really miss it) a giant light display with some very apt wording & promised we'd head out again after dark to take advantage of it. After the speeches I headed downstairs to check the weather and it was chucking it down, I really wanted take advantage of the light display but really didn't want to drag Zoe through the wind and rain!

I kept checking and checking and eventually the rain slowed enough so we headed out, surrounding Zoe in a wall of umbrellas. It was so so worth it!

Steve & Heather's Autumnal Wedding at Arley Hall, Manchester

Arley Hall Wedding, Cheshire Wedding Photography

Heather & Steve got married on a perfect Autumn's day at the rather luxurious Arley Hall, Cheshire. The hall is bursting with charm and character & completed with a warm & homely atmosphere. It is about as regal as you get and the grounds are huge, with so many picturesque spots you are really spoilt for choice!

Heather arrived at the hall slightly behind schedule - just long enough to keep Steve on his toes! After a beautiful ceremony it was time to take a walk through the hall's grounds and capture some beautiful shots of the newly-weds.

Soon it was time to welcome the couple into their room ready for their wedding breakfast. The hall was clad in beautiful autumnal decorations, using pumpkins filled with flowers as their centre pieces and tables scattered with leaves, the warm colours suited the venue down to a T.

The rest of the day was filled to the brim with laughter and celebrations. Steve even surprised Heather by serenading her on the dance floor!
